Another great performance Charles. A really relaxed feel. Wish you were a bit nearer! And a harmonica always does it for me. We're lucky in "The Deterrent" to have a great harmonica player in Brian, who's been playing for years. Hard to come by a great player.

Aw, man, thank you so much, Colin! We sure wish we were closer -- it would be such a ball for all of us to jam together.

And thanks for the kind shoutout to our hamonicat brother, Sam St. Clair. Here, from about a decade ago, is extra large helping of SamLove:

Thanks Charles, Sam is "the man"! Great song too. Listening to the The Flood always gives me inspiration for "The Deterrent". Some great guitar picking on that too. And fiddle...and..and... :-) :-)

This is a great song that has been done by a lot of wonderful artists over the years. The Flood knocks it out of the park, as usual.

Mollie, thanks, as always, for your kind words! I really love Bessie Smith tunes. In fact, my favorite new song we've been working on is a shout-out to Smith's version of "Yellow Dog Blues," which we started playing around with last spring. I guess our latest recorded version of it we did live at Heritage Station a couple of months ago.

For anyone who missed it and wants to time-machine back to it, it's at the end of this first video on this page:

Just slide the counter over to about 11:30, you'll be at the start of the song.
