Great story of Chuck and the Flood saga! I’ll never forget when y’all flooded the Texas Lounge with all your joy and madness. One of the most memorable afternoons of all! Thanks for the memories … 🎶😍 Jazzou Jones
Aw, man, we have SUCH wonderful memories of all the times we got to play on the good ol' Delta Queen! Thank you so much for inviting us, brother.
Oh, and here's a fun tidbit you might enjoy. After we play on the DQ during a Phyllis Dale cruise in the fall of 2005, Pamela and I had conversations with passengers about the band, during which Chuck got a kind of a field promotion as our "probation officer." Here's a little audio clip of my sharing the tale with folks at a weekly jam session at the Bowen house:
So glad you enjoyed it, Bill! Want a little more? Here's a tune from a Summer 2002 show that The Flood played in Morehead, Ky., with Chuck leading the way on "Bill Bailey." One is one of my favorite Chuck Romine tracks!
Thanks, buddy. That was quite a memorable week for us. That Friday night gig in Morehead was literally the night before our performance down on the riverfront with the Huntington Symphony Orchestra. We were having a dream year. :)

This is a great recording. Not only of Chuck, but of the whole band. You all were definitely “on” that day. Thanks. 👍
